About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Big Data Technician to join our growing data team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start a career in Big Data, Data Engineering, and Analytics.
No professional experience is required. We are seeking candidates with strong analytical thinking, a willingness to learn modern data technologies, and a passion for working with large datasets.
You will receive hands-on training while supporting the collection, processing, organization, and maintenance of data used for business intelligence and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing large datasets for analysis.
- Monitor and maintain data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Support the execution of data processing and ETL workflows.
- Assist in managing structured and unstructured datasets.
- Help identify data issues and report inconsistencies.
- Work with senior engineers to maintain data pipelines.
- Generate basic reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools.
- Document data processes and technical procedures.
- Follow data governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Continuously learn new Big Data technologies and best practices.

Required Skills
- Basic understanding of databases and data management concepts.
- Familiarity with SQL fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Exposure to Python or Java.
- Basic understanding of Big Data concepts.
- Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of Linux basics.
- Personal projects, coursework, or certifications in Data Analytics or Big Data.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or final-year student) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or bootcamp experience are a plus.
