Billing Administrator – Central Finance Role

About the Role
In this varied and interesting position within our centralled finance team, you’ll support partners and clients in pre- and post-billing administrative activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Partner & client bill portfolios to ensure bills are dispatched within firm policy timelines.
- Request ad-hoc proformas and generate client reports.
- Amend proformas as required and input billing guide amendments into the pre-billing system.
- Review time narratives for accuracy, correcting typos and inconsistencies.
- Liaise with multiple teams to resolve complex queries, including:
- The Working Capital Support Team
- EBilling Team (for billing guidelines and portal requirements)
- Other finance teams (to coordinate accurate and timely billing drafts)
- Prepare narratives, fee breakdowns, and covering documents for Partner/Associate review and client dispatch.
- Request credit notes/re-issue instructions via Finance workflow and address post-billing queries.
- Ensure timely dispatch of bills according to client requirements.

About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a finance or partnership services background.
Essential Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence when engaging with:
- Clients
- Partners
- Internal stakeholders
- Ability to work to deadlines and anticipate workflow demands.
- Exceptional attention to detail—ensuring error-free, accurate work.
- Self-motivated, proactive approach with the ability to:
- Prioritise workloads
- Work independently
- Collaborate effectively in a team.
- Experience in a partnership or professional services firm, ideally with a finance focus.
- Analytical skills to resolve billing and system-related queries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
