Billing Associate

Circle Business Services - Cheadle Full-time – 37.5 hours per week (Permanent) Salary: Up to £25,206.00 per year (depending on experience, training, and qualifications)


About the Role & Organisation

Join Circle Business Services, part of Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider with a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics known for performing more complex surgeries than any other private healthcare provider.

We’re seeking a Billing Associate to join our dedicated team, working in a dynamic environment where accuracy and compliance are critical.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full-time (37.5 hours/week) covering flexible shift patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Invoicing – Produce accurate and timely invoices for patients, consultants, insurers, and NHS organisations, aligning with contractual agreements and organisational policies.
  • Billing Accuracy – Review and verify invoicing data before issuing invoices to ensure correct application of charging structures, tariffs, and billing rules.
  • Process Adjustments – Handle invoice amendments, corrections, and credit notes where necessary.
  • Performance Compliance – Monitor billing activities to meet service level agreements and deadline requirements.
  • Revenue Tracking – Support timely revenue recognition by maintaining compliant billing processes.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in:
    • Finance, billing, accounts receivable, customer service, or business administration.
    • Working with internal/ external stakeholders at all organisational levels.
    • Healthcare, private healthcare, or NHS finance environments.
    • Healthcare billing processes, NHS contracts, or private medical insurance billing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (reporting and data analysis).
  • Strong customer service skills, including professional query resolution.
  • Numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Independence and teamwork: Ability to manage workloads effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/ C and above).
  • Data protection, confidentiality, and financial governance familiarity.

Nicely adressed would be:

  • Experience using financial management or patient administration systems.
  • Process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Vocational backgrounds like healthcare billing or public sector finance.
