Billing Support Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Billing Support Specialist based in United Kingdom.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Support Specialist to join a dynamic finance team and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This role plays a key part in supporting revenue operations by managing billing inquiries, payment follow-ups, and customer account updates.

You will collaborate closely with multiple teams, including finance, sales, technical support, and professional services, to resolve customer needs efficiently.

The position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in billing operations while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and comfortable handling customer interactions while working toward measurable goals.

You will contribute directly to maintaining strong client relationships and supporting business growth through effective billing management.

Accountabilities

  • Monitor customer aging reports and follow up with clients regarding overdue invoices.
  • Conduct regular collection calls and communications with delinquent customers.
  • Respond to incoming billing-related questions and provide timely support to customers.
  • Gather necessary information to investigate and resolve billing issues efficiently.
  • Research complex billing concerns and coordinate solutions with relevant teams.
  • Manage customer expectations by providing clear updates on resolution timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to escalate and resolve client inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information and support effective invoicing processes.
  • Contribute to revenue objectives while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service, collections, billing support, or a call center environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
  • Comfortable working with metrics, targets, and performance-driven objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to investigate issues, gather information, and identify effective solutions.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
  • Interest in developing knowledge and experience within finance and billing operations.
