Billings & Operations Manager

Location: London/Bristol/Chichester or Birmingham (hybrid, 3 days in-office per week)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB).

About the Role

The Billings & Operations Manager will:

  • Own and manage all business and financial processes across fiduciary activities, including client invoicing and cash management.
  • Drive efficiencies across these areas while contributing to tactical and strategic initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Ensure seamless delivery of fiduciary processes while fostering collaboration across stakeholder teams.

Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Operational ownership – Manage our financial processes to meet organisational goals.
  • Process improvement – Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and implement efficiencies and benefits.
  • Financial reporting – Present KPIs and trends to support decision-making.
  • Initiative leadership – Apply strong problem-solving and project management skills to deliver key projects.
  • Training & development – Create and deliver training materials to support team growth.
  • Team management – Lead operational teams, building strong communication with functional groups.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Strong analytical, organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in business process improvement, problem-solving, and project management.
  • Ability to solve problems and present data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Strong Excel proficiency (advanced skills) and expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of team management and a commitment to high standards.
