Billings & Operations Manager
Billings & Operations Manager – Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB)
The Billings & Operations Manager will own and lead the business financial processes for our fiduciary operations at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB), including client invoicing and cash management, while driving efficiencies and strategic initiatives across the business.
Location
Based in London, Bristol, Chichester, or Birmingham on our hybrid schedule (3 days per week in office).
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage business financial processes, client invoicing, and cash management to meet business goals efficiently.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify and implement efficiencies or operational/financial benefits.
- Present financial KPIs and trends to support data-driven decision-making.
- Apply strong problem-solving and project management skills to coordinate high-priority initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training and supplementary materials for operational best practices.
- Manage a team to ensure effective allocation and implementation of fiduciary processes.
- Act as a key liaison between financial and operational teams.

Requirements
Core Qualifications
- Demonstrated analytical, organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in business process improvement, problem-solving, and project management.
- Solution-oriented mindset; strong data analysis with influencing-negative change to support management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a high-pressure environment while being a naturally proactive problem solver.
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring teams to deliver results.
- Exceptional attention to detail, keenly impacting organisational outcomes.
Desirable
- Experience with automation or AI to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- A growth-focused mindset; proactive mindset to develop the team and explore new business opportunities.
- Strong strategic transformation work skills, adept at leading stakeholders/teams through change.
- Expertise in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders to drive alignment and outcomes.
