Position Overview
Murphy Geospatial are expanding our in-house BIM team and are looking for a BIM Coordinator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role, or a Senior Technician looking to develop into a more Coordinator role. The successful candidate will be based primarily from our North London Watford office, with the opportunity for hybrid working, and will be reporting directly to the BIM Operations Manager.
What You Will Do
- Act as the technical lead for assigned BIM projects, ensuring delivery in line with the agreed scope, programme, client requirements and quality standards.
- Review project requirements and BIM Checklists, identify missing information and technical risks, and prepare project documentation, including SurveyBEPs and EIRs.
- Work closely with Project Managers, survey teams, and the BIM Operations Manager to plan and coordinate project delivery.
- Coordinate production teams, providing clear technical instructions and ensuring project requirements, scope, and delivery expectations are understood.
- Monitor technical progress, identify potential delays, quality issues, scope changes, and additional work, and escalate these to the Project Manager and BIM Operations Manager where required.
- Advise on the most appropriate modelling workflows and production methods based on project requirements and available survey data.
- Review and validate graphical and non-graphical project information and carry out quality assurance reviews to ensure deliverables meet the agreed scope, BIM Checklist, SurveyBEP, EIR, client requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Provide hands-on Revit technical support and mentor BIM Technicians and production teams, promoting best practices and consistent delivery standards.
- Attend project handovers, technical reviews, client meetings, and kick-off meetings where required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, standards, technologies, and production methods.

What You Will Bring
- Strong experience delivering and coordinating Scan-to-BIM projects within the surveying, construction, engineering, or AEC sectors.
- Advanced knowledge and practical experience using Autodesk Revit for Scan-to-BIM production and project delivery.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, point cloud data, and Scan-to-BIM workflows.
- Strong understanding of building construction principles, BIM information management, and relevant industry standards, including ISO 19650.
- Experience coordinating BIM projects and production teams.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and experience reviewing technical scopes and BIM deliverables.
Key Attributes
- Ability to take technical ownership of multiple projects, manage priorities, and identify risks before they impact project delivery.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, surveyors, production teams, and clients.
- Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360.
- A proactive, organized, and detail-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Experience supporting and mentoring BIM Technicians and production teams.
- Experience with Dynamo, Archicad, Navisworks, or other BIM and digital delivery platforms would be advantageous.
