About the Role
WSP is looking for an experienced BIM coordinator with a strong background in Common Data Environments (CDEs) and CAD software expertise, specifically for civil engineering projects. Join our water team in an exciting role that blends technical expertise with innovation.
In this position, you’ll:
- Work with hydraulic design software and its integration with CAD tools.
- Create smart automations to improve workflows across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with an experienced team to align with delivery requirements and QA processes for water engineering projects.
- Develop your career in a cutting-edge 3D BIM and CDE environment.
As a BIM Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading document control on various projects.
- Setting CAD and document standards.
- Driving efficiency through automation and streamlined processes.

Typical Weekly Responsibilities
- Drawing coordination and data control
- Creation of BIM Execution Plans for projects
- Ensuring compliance with BIM content standards, execution plans, and project workflows
- Performed CAD quality checks on drawings and documents
- Developing workflows and improving team efficiency
- Creating templates and standardised details for team use
- Collaboration and coordination across multiple disciplines
Requirements
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Industry experience—specifically in infrastructure, drainage engineering
- A passion for digital transformation, BIM technology, and continuous improvement
- Strong communication, client handling, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in project delivery and 3D modeling/design coordination
- Experience challenging and refining engineering detailing
- Working knowledge of EDMS systems (Bentley Projectwise, Autodesk BIM360, etc.)
- Experience coordinating interdisciplinary information in a 3D environment
- Familiarity with BIM standards (PAS 1192 and BS EN ISO 19650)
Ideal qualifications include: HNC, HND, or Degree in engineering (or a related field).
