About the Role
Are you an experienced BIM Coordinator with a strong background in Common Data Environments (CDEs) and CAD software, particularly for civil engineering projects? We’re looking for a creative, innovative professional to take on a dynamic role within our water team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead contract document control and deliver key deliverables to ensure timely project milestones.
- Draw coordination and data management in compliance with BIM content standards.
- Collaborate seamlessly with global offices across Europe and North America to deliver on project requirements.
- Support and develop this feeder role into an effective BIM specialist, high-level technical outlet, and coordinator for a small subcontract-focused engineering team.
- Identify opportunities for streamlining processes, systems, and standards for improved efficiency.
- Respond to client audits and third parties enabling smooth stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute actively to corporate intranet projects where data, tools, standards, and templates are shared globally.
- Scope out, automate, and implement best practice operational and project tooling that enhances the team’s performance.
Responsibilities
- Work in hydraulic design software and integrate with CAD tools to improve workflows across multi-platform environments.
- Engage with delivery requirements and QA process to support water engineering projects in a 3D BIM and CDE environment.
- Lead document control and set CAD standards across multiple projects.
- Develop and deploy templates and automation for workflow efficiency.
- Lead the production of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for project workflows.

Your Week in the Drainage Team
- Drawing coordination and data control.
- Creation of BIM Execution Plans for projects.
- Ensuring compliance with BIM content standards, execution plans, and workflows.
- Quality checks on CAD drawings for accuracy and cohesiveness.
- Improvement of workflows and team efficiency.
- Designing templates for common project requirements.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for the following qualities and experience:
- Relevant industry experience in infrastructure drainage engineering.
- A passion for BIM technology and a drive for continuous digital improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle client relationships effectively.
- Experience in project delivery, including 3D modelling, design coordination, and engineering detailing.
- Proven EDMS software skills (e.g., Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM360).
- Strong 3D environment coordination, including inter-disciplinary information management.
- Working knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., BS EN ISO 19650, PAS 1192).
- A ** Higher National Diploma (HNC), Higher National Certificate (HND), qualifying degree**, or equivalent in engineering or a related field.
