Senior BIM Coordinator – Water Team

About the Role
WSP is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator with a strong background in CAD software for civil engineering projects, particularly within the water sector. This role blends technical expertise, innovation, and leadership to improve workflows, set standards, and drive delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM Execution & Delivery:
- Lead document control across multiple water engineering projects, ensuring alignment with BIM content standards (PAS 1192 & BS EN ISO 19650).
- Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans tailored to project workflows.
- Oversee CDE setup, compliance, and standards—integrating harmonised environments for seamless collaboration.
- Technical Leadership:
- Work with hydraulic design software and automate workflows using Cad/Excel integration and scripting.
- Create CAD quality control checks, templates, and standard details to streamline team efficiency.
- Process Optimisation:
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual workloads and improve delivery timelines.
- Challenge conventional practices, proposing innovative solutions for consulting, delivery, and design.
- Team Collaboration:
- Partner with multi-disciplinary teams (civil, structural, environmental) in 3D environments, coordinating interoperable engineering details.
- Mentor colleagues on BIM methodologies, QA processes, and data standards.

About Your Team
As part of WSP’s national sustainable water management team—technical leaders in the sector—you’ll contribute to high-profile projects for clients like HS2, Network Rail, National Highways, and local authorities. This dynamic team fosters a proactive, collaborative ethos, giving you the influence to shape our drainage portfolio’s future.
Qualifications & Essentials
Experience & Proficiency
- Interdisciplinary infrastructure drainage expertise
- Mastery of EDMS platforms (Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM360, similar) with a strong grasp of CDE use cases.
- Comfortable using CCUS platforms like Ad Па cellular, Citizen, or Navisworks for coordination.
- Experience with CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, microstation) + BIM software.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling, clash detection, and information exchange protocols.
- Qualifications required: HNC/HND/Degree in procurement, facilities planning, or associated engineering fields.
