About the Role
Job Title: BIM Coordinator Team: Sustainable Water Management (Technical Leaders in Infrastructure)
Why This Role Matters: We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator with expertise in Common Data Environments (CDEs) and Civil Engineering CAD, who can drive innovation in hydraulic design and workflow automation. This role blends technical mastery with problem-solving, empowering you to shape the future of engineering at WSP.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Merging hydraulic design software and CAD tools for seamless project delivery.
- Optimising workflows through automated processes across multiple platforms.
- Collaborating with experienced teams to uphold delivery requirements and QA processes in 3D BIM and CDE environments.
- Leading document control, establishing CAD and document standards, and fostering efficiency.
- Creating BIM Execution Plans, performing CAD quality checks, and developing templates for scalable use.

Your Typical Week
You’ll be actively engaged in:
- Drawing coordination and data control.
- Creating BIM Execution Plans tailored to project needs.
- Ensuring compliance with BIM standards (e.g., PAS 1192, BS EN ISO 19650).
- Conducting CAD quality checks to maintain excellence.
- Automating workflows and improving team efficiency.
- Developing standard templates and details for reuse.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

We’ll value candidates with experience in or exposure to:
- Industry experience (Highly desirable) in infrastructure, drainage, and water engineering.
- A passion for BIM technology, digital delivery, and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, client handling, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project delivery—alongside 3D modelling and design coordination.
- Ability to challenge and contribute to engineering detailing proactively and constructively.
- Proficiency in EDMS systems (e.g., Bentley ProjectWise, AutoCAD BIM360, NM360).
- Experience coordinating information in 3D environments, ensuring inter-disciplinary cohesion.
- Familiarity with BIM standards (e.g., PAS 1192, BS EN ISO 19650).
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s, HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (depending on level of experience, exposure, or qualifications).
