Overview

We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to support the BIM Lead in driving consistent digital delivery across the Southwest and Wales region. You will embed information management and BIM best practice, support teams through the project lifecycle, and ensure delivery aligns with agreed standards, client requirements, and regional digital objectives.

The role focuses on enabling capability building, assurance, and continuous improvement in BIM and digital delivery.

You will work with discipline leads, regional leadership, and project teams to set delivery goals, develop delivery plans, and mentor teams on BIM workflows, tools, and standards across all project stages.

Your role

  • Deliver the regional BIM strategy and transformation plan with the BIM Lead, aligned to agreed standards and ways of working.
  • Define BIM scope, deliverables and approach to meet client needs and project outcomes.
  • Assess, trial and support adoption of digital tools and methods that deliver measurable value.
  • Support governance, assurance and reporting, evidencing benefits from improvements to people, process and technology.
  • Provide BIM/IM input to bids (approach, deliverables, programme, resourcing and governance).
  • Shape early scope by clarifying BIM requirements, standards, risks, opportunities and deliverability.
  • Engage clients and internal stakeholders to promote BIM capability and consistent messaging.
  • Develop and implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), including processes, protocols and CDE configuration.
  • Enable cross-discipline coordination and consistent application of BIM standards and workflows.
  • Support information exchange, model QA and approval processes to meet client and project requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate BIM Coordinators (where applicable) to meet regional, project and client demands.
  • Identify skills gaps, prioritise training needs and support delivery of upskilling plans with the wider BIM community.
  • Align regional hardware/software needs with the BIM strategy and baseline project technology requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
