This is a hands-on BIM Manager role within our Energy Networks Transmission & Distribution portfolio. You will be responsible for setting up, managing and supporting BIM delivery on live multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, ensuring models, drawings, coordination workflows and digital deliverables are produced consistently, efficiently and in line with agreed project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage BIM delivery across Energy Networks T&D projects, taking responsibility for project BIM setup, model coordination processes, model quality, digital deliverables and practical delivery support.

  • Establish and maintain BIM workflows, model structures, federated model processes, coordination routines and model exchange approaches that support efficient multidisciplinary project delivery.

  • Guide BIM coordinators, designers, technicians and discipline teams in the consistent production of models and drawings, helping resolve model health, coordination and delivery issues.

  • Lead federated model reviews, clash detection, issue tracking and coordination activities, ensuring spatial, technical and interface issues are identified, assigned and progressed in a timely way.

  • Support the practical implementation of BIM Execution Plans, model production methods, coordination procedures, information exchange requirements and agreed project BIM standards.

  • Provide clear guidance on model setup, naming conventions, worksharing, model linking, shared coordinates, drawing production, issue management and coordination workflows.

  • Review models and drawings for quality, completeness, coordination, compliance with project requirements and suitability for issue at key design stages.

  • Use Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit, Civil 3D and related digital delivery platforms to improve collaboration, coordination, assurance and delivery confidence.

  • Work with project managers, design managers and discipline leads to understand BIM resource needs, programme priorities, model deliverables, coordination risks and required project support.

  • Support BIM coordination meetings, model review sessions and design team workshops, ensuring actions, issues, responsibilities and close-out requirements are clearly captured and progressed.

  • Use reporting outputs and dashboards where appropriate to improve visibility of model progress, deliverable status, coordination issues and project risks.

  • Help embed consistent BIM Management practices across the Energy Networks portfolio by sharing lessons learned from live delivery and improving future project mobilisation.

Your Team

  • You will join a growing Energy Networks T&D team delivering nationally significant infrastructure that supports the transition to a more resilient, secure and low-carbon energy system.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Experience reviewing models and drawings for quality, coordination, completeness and compliance with agreed project requirements.

  • Experience supporting BIM coordination meetings, design workshops, model review sessions and issue close-out processes.

  • Power BI experience would be advantageous, particularly for dashboards or reporting outputs that improve visibility of model status, deliverables, issues and delivery performance.

  • Experience in energy infrastructure, utilities or major multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes would be beneficial.

  • Experience with scripting tools such as Dynamo or Python would be beneficial.
