We are seeking

Dowds are seeking a BIM Project Lead to lead the operational delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of BIM and digital construction across multiple projects.

This is a senior leadership role within the Design & BIM function, responsible for ensuring BIM is fully integrated into project delivery—driving coordination, programme performance, quality, and digital excellence across the business.

You will play a key role in bridging design, BIM, and operations, ensuring consistent standards, high-quality outputs, and the effective use of digital tools to support buildable, efficient delivery.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Provide leadership across BIM delivery on multiple projects, ensuring alignment with programme, cost, and quality expectations
  • Embed BIM into all stages of delivery—design, coordination, installation, commissioning, and handover
  • Act as the key interface between BIM teams and project/delivery leadership
  • Lead the development, implementation, and governance of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows across the business
  • Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, company standards, and project requirements
  • Oversee the delivery and integrity of project BIM models and associated data across the full lifecycle
  • Promote the effective use of Common Data Environments (CDE) and digital tools

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Significant experience in BIM management within building services / MEP or construction environments
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards, processes, and delivery across multiple project stages
  • Proven experience leading BIM teams and delivering across multiple projects
  • Advanced knowledge of BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and CDE platforms
  • Strong understanding of design coordination, buildability, and installation processes
  • Ability to lead, influence, and engage stakeholders across design and delivery teams

Desirables

  • Experience working on large-scale or complex MEP projects
  • Exposure to offsite construction, modularisation, or DfMA approaches
  • Experience implementing BIM standards across a business or function
  • Relevant engineering, construction, or BIM-related qualification
