Job title: BIM Technician
Based from: Dronfield
Reports to: BIM Manager
Salary: Up to £42,000
The Role
As the BIM Technician you will join our busy BIM Team to support the BIM Manager with BIM co-ordination and producing CAD designs for complex fire, life safety, electronic security systems and network infrastructure.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Producing and amending CAD Designs, Constructions and As Fitted models using Revit and AutoCAD software
- Creating take offs from models and presenting this within an Excel spreadsheet
- Designing life safety and security systems (with guidance from Design Engineers)
- Creating schematics and electrical wiring diagrams as needed (with guidance from Design Engineers)
- Exporting DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally
- Taking an active role within the continuous improvement of company systems
- Providing reports as appropriate to your Line Manager
- Producing clash detection reports
- Being involved in weekly BIM co-ordination meetings and actioning any issues
- Maintaining weekly model uploads for the live project that is being worked on

Person Specification
Essential
- Computer literate and proficient in all core Microsoft Office packages
- Prior experience of Revit & AutoCAD software
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- To be honest, trustworthy and to maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties relating to finance and tenders
- Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and outside bodies
- Ability to work using your own initiative
Desirable
- Previous experience within a related field
- Experience using AutoDesk Construction Cloud
- Experience using Revit MEP
- Proficiency in a European language is desirable but not essential

Working Conditions
The role is based in our Dronfield office, which is an open plan office environment with multi-screen computer use. On occasion the role may require you to attend our other offices.
