Job Title BIM Technician Salary €35,000 - €50,000 per annum Location Dublin Working Hours We operate a 37.5-hour working week designed to support work-life balance. We offer flexible start and finish times between 8am and 6pm, provided that core hours of 10am to 4pm are covered for team collaboration and meetings. About The Role As a BIM Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design and engineering teams through the development, coordination, and maintenance of accurate and high-quality Building Information Models. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure efficient model production, clash detection, and drawing output aligned with project standards and client requirements.
What you will do As a BIM Technician within our MEP team, your core responsibilities will include: Develop and manage detailed Revit MEP models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems across various project stages Work closely with engineers and BIM Coordinators to ensure models meet project requirements, standards, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP) Assist in model coordination, running clash detection processes using Navisworks and resolving design conflicts Generate MEP drawings, layouts, and schedules from models in accordance with project-specific standards and client expectations Maintain the integrity and accuracy of models throughout the design lifecycle, from schematic design to construction documentation Support the team in updating models during design revisions, RFI responses, and client feedback rounds Participate in BIM coordination meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration Help in developing and maintaining MEP content libraries, templates, and documentation standards Follow internal QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery quality. Your Experience The ideal candidate will be a technically minded professional with a passion for digital construction and a deep understanding of how MEP systems physically integrate within a building's architecture.

Experience & Qualifications Industry Tenure: 1–3 years of dedicated BIM experience within an MEP consultancy or a multidisciplinary engineering firm. Project Lifecycle: Proven track record of delivering drawing packages through RIBA Stages 3 (Spatial Coordination), 4 (Technical Design), and 5 (Manufacturing/Construction). Technical Literacy: A strong understanding of building services logic, including HVAC ductwork routing, pipework gradients, and electrical containment systems. Codes & Standards: Familiarity with regional design codes and industry best practices such as CIBSE, BSRIA, or British Standards.
Technical Proficiency Advanced Revit MEP: Mastery of Revit for Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health modeling, including the ability to manipulate parameters, shared coordinates, and schedules. Coordination Expertise: Power-user of Navisworks Manage, capable of not just finding clashes, but grouping, auditing, and reporting them effectively to the design team. CDE Ecosystems: Hands-on experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360, specifically regarding model linking, version control, and cloud-based collaboration. Content Creation: Ability to build and troubleshoot Parametric Revit Families and maintain standardized MEP component libraries. Standards Knowledge: A solid grasp of LOD/LOIN (Level of Information Need) requirements and the ISO 19650 framework for information management.
Professional Attributes Problem Solver: A proactive approach to "solving the clash" in 3D space rather than just reporting it. Clear Communicator: The ability to explain complex technical BIM issues to non-BIM staff or clients in a concise manner. Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working in a high-speed federated model environment where discipline-to-discipline coordination is constant. Detail Driven: An uncompromising eye for drafting quality, line weights, and the accuracy of "As-Built" documentation.
