Biochemist – AI Data Trainer

About The Role

Your years of rigorous biochemistry training are more valuable than ever — and not just in the lab. Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research teams to build and refine cutting-edge scientific AI models, and we need expert biochemists to help us do it right.

In this fully remote contract role, you'll apply your deep knowledge of protein folding, metabolic flux, enzyme kinetics, and molecular genetics to challenge, audit, and improve how advanced AI systems reason through complex life science problems. This is a rare opportunity to influence AI at a foundational level — using the expertise you already have.

What You'll Do

  • Design Advanced Problems — Craft challenging biochemistry problems across domains such as nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance.
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that serve as the scientific standard for AI reasoning in life sciences.
  • Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical reasoning for technical accuracy, scientific validity, and safety.
  • Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors in AI outputs — such as incorrect stoichiometry, misapplied stereochemistry, or flawed metabolic logic — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
