Biochemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help train and refine cutting-edge AI models on advanced scientific topics. Your deep domain expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex biochemistry — from protein folding to metabolic flux — making a real impact on the future of scientific AI.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience required.

What You'll Do
Design Advanced Problems — Create challenging biochemistry questions spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level AI scientific reasoning Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy and adherence to scientific standards Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors such as incorrect stoichiometry or misunderstood stereochemistry, and provide structured feedback to improve the model's scientific thinking Work Independently — Complete task-based assignments asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are
Hold a PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field Have strong foundational knowledge in areas such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics Can communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly and precisely in written form Have a sharp eye for detail when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols No prior AI or data annotation experience required

Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation workflows Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST Background in scientific writing or technical communication
