Biology Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your years of advanced biology training could directly shape how AI reasons through genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics for millions of people? We're looking for Biology experts with Masters or PhD-level credentials to help build and evaluate cutting-edge AI models — ensuring they think with the scientific rigor and depth that real research demands.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience needed — just deep command of your field and a sharp eye for scientific quality.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related disciplines to design complex, meaningful problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated biological reasoning for accuracy, depth, and scientific integrity
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to sharpen AI model reasoning
  • Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and precision across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Masters or PhD in Biology or a closely related field — Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or equivalent
  • Strong expertise in one or more of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
  • Comfortable working with Python or R for research or analytical tasks
  • Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can translate complex science into precise, readable language
  • Naturally detail-oriented and rigorous in how you approach scientific problems
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in computational biology, systems biology, or related quantitative disciplines
