Biology Masters - AI Data Trainer

About the Job

At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models.

Be part of our remote contract role designed for professionals with a Masters in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Work on cutting-edge projects with top AI labs while earning $35–$55/hour, completely remote with flexible weekly hours. No prior AI experience required.

Contribute to the advancement of AI by helping fine-tune large language models (such as ChatGPT) using your expertise in biological sciences. Your tasks will include:

  • Designing advanced biology questions to evaluate AI performance.
  • Creating clear, well-reasoned step-by-step solutions with rigorous logic.
  • Assessing AI-generated outputs for accuracy and the quality of reasoning.
  • Collaborating with researchers to refine and develop benchmark tests spanning undergraduate to Masters-level biology subjects.

Position Details

Organization: Alignerr Role: Biology Masters - AI Data Trainer Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $35–$55/hour Location: Fully Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week


Responsibilities

  • Design advanced biology questions to test AI capabilities and outputs.
  • Develop step-by-step solutions with meticulous reasoning.
  • Evaluate AI’s accuracy and logical consistency in problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with researchers to improve and refine benchmark evaluations across sub-disciplines.

Requirements

Core Requirements

  • Masters degree (completed or currently pursuing) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated strong biological reasoning and problem-solving skills across specialised domains.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in written form.
  • Capacity to provide structured, insightful feedback on AI outputs.

Preferred (but not essential) Experience

  • Previous experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks.
