Biology Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your years of biology training could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex problems in genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics? We're looking for Biology Experts with advanced degrees to develop and evaluate challenging scientific problems that push AI to think like a domain expert.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working scientists and researchers. No AI background needed — just deep biological expertise and a sharp scientific mind.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related specialisms to design complex, nuanced problem statements
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI model reasoning and accuracy
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for rigor, accuracy, and depth
  • Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific clarity and precision
  • Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Holds a Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field — Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or equivalent
  • Experienced with Python or R in a research or project context
  • Deep subject matter expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
  • Exceptional written communicator who can explain complex concepts with clarity and precision
  • Detail-oriented, rigorous, and comfortable working independently
  • Fluent in English

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in academic research, peer review, or scientific publishing
