Biology Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)
About the Role
We're seeking biology experts to evaluate and refine AI systems navigating advanced scientific subject areas. Your deep understanding will directly inform how AI interprets, reasons, and presents complex biological concepts—from molecular pathways to cutting-edge biotechnology.
Offered as a fully remote, flexible hourly contract in partnership with leading AI research labs. While prior AI experience isn’t necessary, a rigorous scientific mindset is critical.

What You’ll Do
- Craft challenging biology questions to benchmark AI proficiency across undergraduate-to-Masters-level rigor
- Engineer clear, step-by-step solutions with scientific logic and reasoning tied to evidence-based reasoning
- Assess AI-generated outputs for:
- Factual accuracy
- Depth of scientific reasoning
- Content clarity and quality
- Pinpoint response weaknesses and deliver structured feedback with actionable improvements
- Collaborate with researchers to:
- Refinement of evaluation benchmarks -innovate model capabilities
- Operate autonomously in an asynchronous workflow with self-set deadlines

Who You Are (Core Requirements)
- Postgraduate education (achieved or progressing) in:
- Biology
- Biotechnology
- Biochemistry
- Adjacent science domains
- sharp analytical skills and problem-solving agility in complex biological systems
- Ability to:
- Articulate nuanced concepts precisely in writing
- Distil intricate details into digestible reasoning
- Highly detail-oriented, with demonstrable skills in:
- Systematic quality evaluation
- Logical deduction
- Proven independent worker, rarely seeking direction, and managing priorities in isolation
No prior AI knowledge required.
