Biology Technician, Graveney School (Maternity Cover)
Term time only (39 weeks)/36 hours per week
GPS4 [Spine Point 7-10] Actual £27,224 - £28,419 per annum

We wish to appoint a Biology graduate to join our small team of experienced technicians. The successful candidate will require an excellent understanding of Science up to A-Level. Experience of working in a school laboratory or similar environment would be desirable.

- Ability to work methodically, paying particular attention to detail
- Good Interpersonal skills in order to relate effectively to teaching staff and students
- Ability to support students and teachers in the preparation of practicals for Biology
- Written communication and numeracy skills
- Good ICT skills and willingness to learn new packages
- Appreciation of the routines required for laboratory preparation and adherence to good practice
- Able to work effectively as part of a team with a flexible approach to work
- Horticultural interest or experience would be an advantage
This is an event linked maternity cover position starting at the beginning of September 2026.
