Applications are invited from enthusiastic, suitably qualified individuals to help provide a clerical support service within the Newborn Bloodspot Screening Section within South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology. The post holder will provide a range of administrative and secretarial support in this busy and interesting department, including the reception of samples and booking requests into our computer system / LIMS.
Key Responsibilities
- Label samples and enter and check confidential patient data.
- Carry out routine administrative and clerical duties for the department, ensuring standards are maintained and deadlines are met.
- Be a first point of contact for all direct enquiries (including telephone enquiries), and ensure these are acted upon appropriately.
Requirements
- Effective secretarial and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative in prioritising workload and meeting deadlines, whilst also being able to work in a team.

About the Employer
Full in-service training will be provided. The South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Pathology Partnership fully integrates the pathology services delivered on behalf of the Partner Trusts within the Integrated Care System (ICS) footprint; Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
