Renewable Fuels Originator | Europe
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Renewable Fuels Originator to join its growing environmental markets business. This is a front-office commercial role focused on developing renewable fuel offtake opportunities across Europe. The successful candidate will build relationships with producers and customers, structure commercial transactions, and help grow the firm's renewable fuels platform. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in identifying market opportunities across the energy transition landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate renewable fuel offtake opportunities across Europe.
- Build and manage relationships with producers, suppliers, and customers.
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Identify opportunities arising from market and regulatory developments.
- Analyse biofuels and environmental market trends.
- Manage trade agreements through to execution.
- Collaborate with trading, risk, operations, and finance teams.
- Support certificate management, inventory tracking, and reporting.

Candidate Profile
✔ Experience within commodities, energy, environmental, or renewable fuels markets.
✔ Background in origination, trading, sales, commercial, or risk management roles.
✔ Strong understanding of:
- Renewable Fuels
- Biofuels
- Environmental Certificates
- Power & Gas Markets
- European Energy Policy
- Commercial Risk Management
