We are seeking a hands-on Blockchain Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade blockchain solutions. This role combines architecture leadership with active engineering involvement, driving solutions from concept through PoC to production. You will work closely with data, cloud, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant distributed ledger solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and architecture of blockchain solutions (consensus models, data structures, APIs, security frameworks).
- Evaluate and select blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Polygon, Avalanche) based on business needs.
- Define architecture blueprints including node design, data flows, and enterprise integration (ERP, CRM, APIs).
- Design token models, identity frameworks, and smart contract architectures.
- Contribute hands-on to development of smart contracts (Solidity, Chaincode, DAML, Rust) and core components.
- Build PoCs, reference implementations, and production-grade blockchain applications.
- Define and implement API layers and integration patterns for legacy interoperability.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Implement security best practices (smart contracts, node communication, key management).
- Define data privacy, identity, and access management models.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR, KYC/AML, data sovereignty).
- Establish governance models including node onboarding, consensus configuration, and upgrade strategies.
- Collaborate with cloud, data, and DevOps teams for deployment, monitoring, and operations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
