Job Description
What you can expect
Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (60 minute unpaid break)
Main Activities
- Support the Rhenus implementation teams with all tasks related to customer implementation projects within the IT/WMS policies of Rhenus (e.g. change policy and BY Core). These include (but are not limited to) tuning requirements, configuration of BY WMS, draft specifications for developments (interfaces, labels and forms), testing solutions, training of key users, Go Live migration tasks and resolution of incidents.
- Same for other similar business projects e.g. process improvements and (customer) change requests
- Collect wishes from business stakeholders and drive implementation project teams to come to deliverable, SMART requirements within the time plans of the projects.
- Document the development specifications for business integrations (interfaces) with customers and for forms and label.
- Challenge stakeholders to get approvals for the requirements and for the development specifications.
- Provide solutions within the configuration possibilities of BY WMS, challenge the stakeholders to accept configurable solutions. In case not possible (significantly inefficient) define developments for extensions in consultation with Rhenus senior WMS experts (Solution Architects and Design Authority).
- Provide solutions that make the most of the available WMS solution standards (Rhenus “Core”). Challenge the stakeholders to accept configurable solutions.
- Analyse and resolve reported incidents and initiate actions to prevent re-occurrence (problem management).
- Support Go Live migration and hand-over to the support organization.
- Document solutions and ways-of-working.
- Reporting and consultancy tasks on request of IT Management.

Skills & Knowledge
- University or higher professional education degree and working and thinking level in relevant area, such as industrial engineering, supply chain management or information technology. This can be compensated with 10 years of working experience in the logistics industry.
- 3 years of experience in BY WMS projects in different subject matter roles both implementation and upgrade projects and support.

2 BY WMS experience (or a similar top end WMS solution such as Manhattan, SAP, ..) implementation projects in a business environment with complex, multi-location (preferably international) supply chains and with the responsibility to configure WMS.
- Profound knowledge of the functional and (higher level knowledge of) technical characteristics of Blue Yonder WMS. BY certification is a plus.
- Proven experience with integration projects for customers.
- Assertiveness to tune requirements within teams and drive to propose optimal/optimize solutions within the scope of a project.
- Ability to work effectively with large business and IT teams and to “run with the ideas of others”.
- Skilled communicator to all organizational levels in business and IT, from warehouse floor to boardroom.
- Enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivating.
