BMS Commissioning Engineer – Midlands Projects Team

Join BMSI, the UK's largest independent employee owned Building Management Systems specialist, and play a key role in delivering innovative BMS solutions across the Midlands.

We're looking for a driven and experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Projects Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, delivering cutting-edge building control solutions across commercial, industrial and public sector environments.

What You'll Do

  • Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software
  • Commission and complete BMS installations across multiple project sites
  • Integrate third-party systems including HVAC, lighting and energy management controls
  • Test, fault find and optimise BMS systems to ensure successful project delivery
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and project delivery
  • Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and technical documentation
  • Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors and customers
  • Assist with project documentation including point schedules, descriptions of operation, graphics and network architecture
  • Deliver training and system handovers to customers and facilities teams
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and customer service throughout project delivery

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer
  • Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building controls and energy management systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and control wiring diagrams
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • A proactive and professional approach to project delivery
  • Willingness to travel across the Midlands and surrounding areas as required
