BMS Design Engineer
Location: Maidenhead (Hybrid)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits
A leading Building Management Systems (BMS) specialist is seeking an experienced BMS Design Engineer to join its Major Projects team, supporting the delivery of large-scale and technically complex projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile commercial and critical infrastructure developments while developing your technical expertise within a growing and supportive engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the BMS design process from concept through to project delivery
- Produce point schedules, equipment schedules, network topologies and descriptions of operation
- Coordinate equipment procurement requirements
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure design deliverables meet programme deadlines
- Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and MEP designs
- Provide technical support to project teams and clients
- Maintain project records, documentation and reports
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, budgets and quality standards

Requirements
- Proven experience as a BMS Design Engineer
- Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Trend, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens, Tridium or Distech
- Good understanding of HVAC, hydraulic, electrical and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and control wiring diagrams
- Experience with metering and third-party system integration would be advantageous
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required
