Why Join Actemium Birmingham?
At Actemium (VINCI Energies), we deliver high-quality control panel and Building Management System (BMS) solutions across multiple industries. This role offers you the opportunity to:
- Work on real-world projects where your designs transform from concept to manufacture.
- Be part of a collaborative team where your technical expertise directly impacts project success—beyond just drafting drawings.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this hands-on role, you will bridge design and delivery, turning concepts into build-ready solutions:
- Design BMS control panels using AutoCAD or electrical CAD tools.
- Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts to industry standards.
- Develop accurate estimates and bills of materials, including labour and component costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to define scope and mitigate risks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
