Excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with experience of BMS systems to join a well-established and growing engineering business known for their technical expertise and high standards. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, customer-focused solutions and exceptional service. You'll be joining a collaborative, highly skilled team within a growing and passionate organisation that genuinely values its people.

To be successful in this role, candidate will possess a solid technical background, leadership skills and have experience with BMS platforms such as Trend Control Systems, Tridium Siemens or Schneider. You will manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of high profile BMS and carbon reduction projects throughout Scotland (flexibility regards specific project locations dependent upon candidate location).

Job Title: BMS Project Manager

Package: Negotiable salary depending on experience plus company car and excellent benefits.

Location: Flexible: ideally located within Scotland Central Belt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and deliver BMS projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and documentation to monitor progress and ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and third-party partners.
  • Manage project scope, costs, risks, and changes, providing regular performance reporting.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in BMS solutions.
  • Oversee the integration of building systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead project teams, allocate resources effectively, and support team performance.

Candidate profile:

  • Proven experience in project management within a Building Management Systems (BMS) environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Trend and Tridium systems.
  • Excellent client-facing, stakeholder management, and internal communication skills.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to project quality.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software, including MS Project.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • BMS-specific certifications (e.g. Trend, Tridium) and project management certifications are advantageous.
