Location: South Yorkshire (Hybrid / Site-Based Travel Across Yorkshire & Midlands)
Salary: £52,000 – £65,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
A leading engineering and building controls specialist are currently looking to recruit an experienced BMS Senior / Applications Engineer to support continued growth across the Yorkshire region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong BMS professional to join a well-established business delivering high-quality building automation and energy management solutions across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and public-sector projects.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of BMS applications and control solutions from concept through to commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and modifying BMS software and graphics
- Producing functional design specifications and control strategies
- Supporting commissioning engineers and wider project teams
- Integrating HVAC plant and energy management systems
- Working with Trend and Tridium BMS platforms
- Providing technical support to clients and internal stakeholders
- Conducting site surveys and attending client meetings
- Supporting project delivery, testing, and final handovers

Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within the BMS / Building Automation industry
- Strong applications engineering or controls software experience
- Experience working with Trend and/or Tridium systems
- Good understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
- Ability to manage workloads and prioritise multiple projects
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Electrical, controls, or building services qualification
- Knowledge of energy optimisation and smart building technologies
- Integration experience including BACnet or Modbus
- Previous commissioning experience
