Job Description
Would you be interested in becoming a Board Member and helping us impact and improve people’s lives in a positive way?
Southside Housing Association has operated as a social landlord on the south side of Glasgow for over fifty years and currently own and manage approximately 2,250 houses for social rent, provide a factoring service for a further 1000 owners and through our subsidiary company, Southside Lettings, have a further 220 properties for Mid-Market Rent. We also have an extensive development programme to build new homes.

Southside Housing Association has an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join the Association’s Board of Management where you will help us make important decisions about budgets, performance, and risk, while promoting strong governance and our core values.

What You Will Bring
We’re inviting applications from individuals with a broad range of skills and backgrounds, and would particularly welcome those with experience in one or more of the following areas, although by no means a requirement:
- Finance
- Governance
- Audit & Risk Management
There is no requirement to have had any previous Board experience - what is important is that you are passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to the success of Southside Housing Association. It is important to attract people who can be objective, accountable, and demonstrate leadership and integrity while committing to the values of the Association in a governance capacity. All Board Members will adhere to a Code of Conduct for Governing Body Members.
