Fractile is building silicon, systems and software which will redefine the frontier of AI: running the world’s most advanced models at radically higher speed and lower cost. We have an exceptional team across hardware and software capable of bringing about this change, and we are growing fast to meet demand and deliver our product at scale.
This role will design, implement, and support production-ready board/PCBA test solutions for a high-volume board integrating multiple AI accelerator chips, high-current power delivery, embedded control, and PCIe Gen6 interconnect. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on executing the board test strategy defined by the Board Test Engineering Lead and delivering robust, repeatable tests for offshore manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain board/PCBA manufacturing test content for complex, high-power, high-speed boards. Implement and debug test coverage across ICT, boundary scan/JTAG, and functional test stages. Design and support board-level functional test solutions, including fixtures, probes, cabling, and instrumentation. Develop and maintain MCU-based board test firmware for manufacturing diagnostics, self-test, and telemetry validation. Implement tests for detecting assembly defects, component failures, solder issues, and manufacturing marginalities. Develop PCIe-focused board-level tests to verify chip-to-chip connectivity and integrity. Support bring-up and debug of board test stations at offshore EMS/CM sites. Analyze test failures and yield data to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Work closely with hardware, firmware, and SI/PI teams to close board-level testability gaps. Contribute to test documentation including test specifications, debug procedures, and manufacturing release notes. Support fixture qualification, tester correlation, and ongoing test maintenance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Experience developing or supporting embedded test firmware on MCUs. Strong debug skills spanning digital logic, power delivery, and interconnect issues. Ability to work effectively with offshore manufacturing partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing boards with AI accelerators, GPUs, networking ASICs, or similar high-power devices. Familiarity with high-current VRMs, multiphase power converters, and power integrity testing. Exposure to PCIe Gen5/Gen6 or other high-speed serial links in a production test environment. Experience using factory data systems and yield analysis to improve test coverage and throughput.
