Company Description
Fly Phoenix is an ambitious new aviation venture seeking to re-establish direct air connectivity between Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom through a premium, customer-focused and commercially sustainable airline model.
As we progress through our launch and capital raising phase, we are seeking distinguished individuals to join our Board of Directors in both Executive and Non-Executive capacities.
Fly Phoenix will be a UK-based carrier focused on operating non-stop direct return flights between London and Harare, Zimbabwe, for both passengers and cargo. We are legally based in the UK, with an additional registration in Zimbabwe to support operations and regulatory compliance. The company collaborates closely with aviation authorities, governments, and industry bodies in both countries to secure clearances and build strategic partnerships.

- Former airline CEO or COO.
- Former aviation regulator or CAA executive.
- Aircraft leasing/ACMI specialist.
- Investment banker with emerging markets experience.
- Zimbabwe diaspora business leader with strong government and corporate networks.
- Former airport or tourism executive.

The Board Member will help research regulatory developments, stakeholder requirements, and partnership opportunities in the UK and Zimbabwe, contributing to risk assessments and growth strategies.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should ideally possess:
- Previous Board or Senior Executive experience.
- Strong strategic leadership capabilities.
- Established professional networks within aviation, finance, government or international business sectors.
- A commitment to strong corporate governance and ethical leadership.
- Experience supporting early-stage, high-growth businesses is desirable.
Former airline executives, retired aviation professionals, institutional investors, entrepreneurs and senior public sector leaders are particularly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Board members will provide strategic oversight and guidance in areas including:
- Corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Fundraising and investor engagement.
- Airline launch strategy and route development.
- Risk management and organisational growth.
- Stakeholder relations across the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and international markets.

Executive Directors will additionally have operational leadership responsibilities within their respective functions.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be competitive and may include:
- Director fees (for Non-Executive Directors)
- Executive compensation packages
- Equity participation and share option opportunities
- Long-term value creation incentives linked to company performance
