Job Title: Bodyshop Team Leader

Company: Krause Autos Ltd

Location: 12 Tyne Road, Sandy, Bedfordshire, SG19 1SA (On-site)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About Us:

Krause Autos Ltd is a family-run, AA-approved garage established in 2020. In just over four years, we have become the biggest and best-reviewed independent garage in Sandy, building an outstanding reputation for quality of work and customer care. To support our rapid growth, we opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art bodyshop premises in 2025. We are now seeking an experienced, multi-skilled professional to step into the role of Bodyshop Team Leader to run daily operations and manage our existing team of three.

Job Summary:

As the Bodyshop Team Leader, you will manage and execute the end-to-end bodyshop process. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an elite individual to run a bodyshop, maintain exceptional quality standards, and directly influence the growth and structure of our expanding bodyshop team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bodyshop Leadership: Oversee daily operations, manage vehicle progression from start to finish, and coordinate workflows within the team.
  • End-to-End Technical Work: Perform high-quality bodywork repairs, vehicle painting, surface preparation, color matching, and finishing.
  • Multi-Skilled Execution: Conduct dent removal, scratch repair, structural alignment, MET, and final polishing tasks.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise directly with customers, third parties, and the wider garage team to ensure smooth communication and timely completion of repairs.
  • Environment & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and highly efficient work environment, strictly adhering to safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bodyshop Technician (Paint and Prep experience is required).
  • Technical Capabilities: Fully multi-skilled and completely comfortable handling Prep, Paint, Polishing, MET, and Panel work independently.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own tools.
  • Licence & Compliance: Valid UK Driving Licence and valid United Kingdom work authorisation are mandatory.
  • Traits: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, a keen eye for perfection, and the ambition to lead and scale a team.
  • Bonus: Experience carrying out insurance work
