Position: Booking Officer
Location: Absolute Interpreting and Translations Ltd, office-based, Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm
Responsibilities:
- Manage client and contractor booking enquiries and job allocations in a fast-paced office setting.
- Respond promptly to telephone calls, emails, and portal requests, facilitating bookings and assigning tasks to interpreters.
- Ensure efficient workflow and meet daily targets by prioritising job allocation effectively.
- Allocate a minimum of 150-180 bookings to contractors each day.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Demonstrated professional demeanour, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional short and long-term memory to retain crucial booking details and client information.
- Strong attention to detail, maintaining focus on daily tasks throughout the day.
- Honesty, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility for all assigned tasks.
- Proactive approach to resolving booking issues, including finding solutions and collaborating with linguists for optimal job assignments.
- Adherence to company procedures and policies at all times.
- Proficient typing skills, with basic knowledge of MS Outlook and database usage.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide two references from previous employers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, ensuring customer satisfaction through innovative solutions.
- Effective multitasking skills, adapting to the daily challenges and responsibilities of the role.
