Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Skilled Volunteer with expertise in workflow automation to streamline Leaves Breathe's bookings and invoicing process. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

Leaves Breathe is a non-profit on a mission to advance environmental protection through the creation and enhancement of community green spaces across Greater London. They specifically target areas with limited access to green space or funding, connecting corporate volunteers and professional gardeners with communities that need them most. All profits are reinvested directly into the green spaces and communities they serve — and with corporate partners including National Grid and Accenture already among their ‘Green Heroes’, their impact continues to grow.

Your Impact:

By putting a reliable, automated system in place, this project will free up valuable time at Leaves Breathe — enabling them to book more volunteer sessions and focus their energy where it truly matters. For the Londoners living in under-served communities with little access to quality green space, that means more corporate volunteers showing up, more gardens transformed, and more vibrant, welcoming outdoor spaces to enjoy.

Please note: This project has an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per week for 3 months, totalling around 24 hours. All Link UP London Skilled Volunteering Projects are designed to work flexibly around the schedule of the Skilled Volunteer. This time commitment can be agreed and spread over a time frame that works for both the Skilled Volunteer and the SGO they are supporting.
