Bookings Team Leader

Haywards Heath Nuffield Hospital | Bookings | Permanent | Full-time

Up to £32,000 depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a patient-focused Bookings Team Leader with excellent engagement skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality service, and a keen eye for detail. This role is responsible for managing our on-site Bookings team, ensuring that every patient receives a smooth and efficient pathway whether they are an Outpatient or Inpatient.

Based at Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital, the Bookings Team Leader is a key member of our hospital team.

As our Bookings Team Leader, you will:

  • Manage and support the Bookings team on a day-to-day basis (Outpatients/Inpatients/NHS)
  • Be responsible for the full Inpatient booking process
  • Be confident across all departmental areas
  • Seek and lead initiatives to improve and maintain high levels of efficiency and accuracy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our Consultants and Medical secretaries
  • Champion, lead and inspire the team to provide exceptional service to our patients, consultants and colleagues
  • Ensure departmental processes are followed consistently and professionally
  • Support the development and performance of the Bookings team
  • Create strong and healthy, patient focused inter-departmental relationships
  • Maintain a welcoming, professional, and patient-focused team

The Person

It is imperative that candidates must have competent IT and keyboard skills, good communication/interpersonal skills, good organisational and analytical skills. Attention to detail is of paramount importance. Candidates with a good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology desirable.

Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital

Opened in 1993 and close to the centre of Haywards Heath, the Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital provides a wide range of medical services from minor procedures through to major surgical specialties. With three operating theatres – 1 is laminar flow, comprehensive outpatient facilities including a 3T MRI scanner, an excellent onsite pre-assessment clinic, physiotherapy department and 26 en-suite rooms on the ward.
