About the Opportunity
A reputable, forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join its Lincoln office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, values accuracy, and thrives in a digital, client-focused environment.
What the Role Involves
The successful candidate will support a portfolio of clients by delivering high-quality bookkeeping and accounting services. Key tasks include:
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Preparing VAT returns and submitting them accurately
- Supporting the preparation of management and year-end accounts
- Ensuring digital records are accurate, complete, and ready for senior review
- Responding to client queries on accounting software and financial processes

Experience & Skills Required
- Strong proficiency with Xero (certification beneficial)
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Prior experience within an accountancy practice is essential
- Familiarity with Iris Accountancy Suite preferred (training available)
- AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent relevant experience
