Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and CIS procedures, preferably within a multi-client environment. They should demonstrate strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to manage multiple accounts efficiently. Good communication skills are essential to liaise confidently with clients and team members. Proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to process improvement are highly valued. A relevant qualification in finance or accounting, such as AAT or equivalent, is advantageous but not mandatory if sufficient practical experience is demonstrated. The candidate should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced practice setting, showing adaptability and a professional attitude at all times.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with VAT returns, Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) reports, and payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and meeting client deadlines.
- Support month-end and quarter-end processes, contributing to the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to streamline financial workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting procedures within the practice, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
