We’re now seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join TC Bulley Davey Ltd in our Portsmouth office. In this role, you’ll:
- Work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients
- Provide high-quality bookkeeping services tailored to each client’s unique needs
- Build strong client relationships while refining your technical skillset
- Play a critical role in the success of our team
Key Responsibilities
As a Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing bank reconciliations using accounting software
- Utilising automation software to accurately capture and post invoices
- Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers on a regular basis and bringing these up to date
- Ensuring accounting software remains well-updated with precise financial records
- Preparing and filing VAT returns for our client base
- Acting as the point of contact for bookkeeping queries
- Collaborating with HMRC as needed
- Undertaking general administrative tasks

About You
We’re looking for a highly skilled Bookkeeper with the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum three years of experience in bookkeeping, ideally within an accountancy practice
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience
- Technical proficiency with:
- Xero (essential)
- QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Fathom and Dext (advantageous)
- Ability to work remotely and in-person
- Independent yet collaborative approach
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail paired with a passion for memorable client service
- Enthusiasm for software and technology to streamline efficiency
- Professional and proactive approach to client interactions with a can-do attitude
