Cloud Bookkeeper
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 + Career Development
Location: Keighley (Office-Based with Flexibility)

Are you an experienced Cloud Bookkeeper looking to join a progressive accountancy practice where your skills will be fully utilised and developed? Our client, a forward-thinking firm based in Keighley, is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support a diverse portfolio of clients while playing a key role in their expanding digital and MTD-focused services.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced accountants, gain exposure to varied clients, and develop your career in a technology-led environment.
The Role: Your Responsibilities
You will take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial records while supporting wider accounting processes.
Key duties include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients using cloud accounting software
- Processing financial data and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Liaising with clients via email and telephone, building strong professional relationships
- Supporting Making Tax Digital (MTD) processes and development within the firm
- Assisting senior accountants with:
- Posting journals and adjustments up to trial balance
- Preparation of management accounts (where applicable)
- Managing deadlines effectively and prioritising workload
- Occasional travel to client sites to collect records when required

About You: Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with strong practice experience and a solid understanding of cloud bookkeeping systems.
Essential criteria:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong experience in bookkeeping for:
- Sole traders
- Limited companies
- Partnerships
- Proficient in cloud accounting software, ideally including:
- Xero
- Sage Business Cloud
- QuickBooks
- FreeAgent
- Solid understanding of VAT processes and compliance
- Ability to prepare accounts data accurately to trial balance level
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
Additional requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for occasional client visits) - desirable but not essential
