Bookkeeper Position
We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join the bk plus team based in Helston.
As a Bookkeeper, your role will include:
- Monthly bookkeeping including bank and cash reconciliations, entering wages journals, calculating and posting prepayments and accruals.
- Preparation of VAT returns for various clients including sole trade, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Running weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls including the submission of pension information to various pension providers.
- Preparation and submission of CIS returns.
- Preparation of management accounts for various clients on a quarterly basis.
- Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Supporting other members of the team with day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Communicating with clients via telephone and email when required.
- Assisting and training clients on the use of a variety of accounting software.

The ideal candidate:
- Excellent computing skills.
- Punctual with an organized and structured approach to work.
- Ability to adapt to new software and technology.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office necessary.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Hammock, and FreeAgent desirable.
