Junior Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

£30,000 pro rata
15–18 hours per week (3 days per week)
Hybrid working available following successful completion of probation
AAT Level 3 (or equivalent) essential
About Us
Greenway Managed Services Ltd is a growing facilities management and construction services business based in Bristol. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with bookkeeping experience who is looking to develop their accounting career within a dynamic and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day finance operations of the business
- Processing and posting purchase invoices
- Managing supplier statements and reconciliations
- Assisting with payment runs
- Supporting payroll administration
- Carrying out credit control activities and customer account follow-ups
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Supporting VAT reconciliations and VAT return preparation
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records within Xero
- Assisting with CIS administration and subcontractor verification
- Supporting the Finance Team with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties

Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in an accounts assistant or bookkeeping role
- Good understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- Knowledge of payroll, VAT, and CIS processes
- Experience with purchase ledger and credit control
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Desirable:
- Experience working within facilities management, construction, or service-based industries
- AAT Level 4 qualification (or working towards)
