We are looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk to manage our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date. The ideal candidate will have:
- A solid understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently
This position will be based at our head office in Draycott. The role will require excellent communication to manage:
- Supplier contracts
- Expenses
- All day-to-day finance functions
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts Payable and accounts receivable functions
- Check daily bank transactions
- Process all invoices
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare monthly financial statements (including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks)
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Manage appropriate approvals for invoices and supplier service contracts
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Preparation and management of payroll submission and payments
- Support the MD and assist with additional tasks when required

Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (a familiarity with Quickbooks is advantageous)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Familiarity with accounting principles, HMRC rules, and accrual-based accounting
- A friendly, proactive, and adaptable approach to problem-solving
- 3–5 years of work experience in a relevant role
