Alexander Daniels are partnering with a successful and expanding accountancy practice that is looking to add a talented Bookkeeper to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, client interaction, and working within a supportive practice environment. Working closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, you’ll take ownership of a wide range of bookkeeping and practice support duties.
The Role
- Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for clients across multiple industries
- Maintaining accurate financial records: purchase/sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, journal
- Preparing and submitting a range of VAT returns including Standard VAT, Partial exemption, Margin scheme, Flat rate scheme
- Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
- Providing occasional assistance with Trust administration
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Collaborating with the wider team and contributing to a positive working culture

Requirement

- Bookkeeping experience (within accountancy practice)
- Strong VAT knowledge, including partial exemption and margin schemes
- Experience using accountancy software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach
- Experience with Trust administration (advantageous but not essential)
