Company Description
PORTERS FOLIAGE LIMITED is a wholesale business based in New Covent Garden, Vauxhall. The company operates within the foliage and related wholesale sector, supplying products to a range of commercial clients. As a growing wholesale operation, it relies on efficient finance, administration, and people management to support daily trading activities. The successful candidate needs to live within close proximity to either Esher, Surrey or Vauxhall, London for regular face-to-face meetings with the Managing Director.
Role Description
This is a part-time, remote role combining bookkeeping, HR, and general administrative responsibilities. The role involves:
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing invoices
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Posting journal entries
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements

The bookkeeper/HR/admin professional will:


Get help with your application

- Update and reconcile accounting software
- Create the monthly payroll
- Help monitor cash flow and basic finance tasks
Day-to-day HR activities include:
- Maintaining employee records
- Assisting with recruitment administration
- Supporting onboarding
- Handling routine HR queries
Administrative duties include:
- Managing office documentation
- Organizing files
- Coordinating communications
- Scheduling meetings
- Providing general support to management and the wider team to ensure smooth office operations
Qualifications
- Strong proven bookkeeping skills, including experience with journal entries (accounting) and maintaining day-to-day ledgers
- Ability to assist with finance tasks, such as basic cash flow monitoring and support in preparing financial statements
- Proficiency with accounting software and comfort working with digital financial systems and spreadsheets
- Experience in HR administration, including employee record-keeping, onboarding support, and routine HR documentation
- This is a multifaceted role, so solid administrative and organizational skills are essential, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and respectful approach to colleagues and clients
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance-focused admin role, must have hands-on payroll experience
- Relevant qualification in bookkeeping or accounting
