Company Description

Traniss Group Ltd is a UK-based company providing management consultancy and bespoke travel services. We specialise in creating personalised travel experiences across Sri Lanka and are expanding our services into new destinations and business areas.

As a growing business, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our finance operations and help build efficient financial processes as we continue to grow.

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote Bookkeeper role supporting the financial operations of Traniss Group Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day finance function of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record sales and purchase invoices.
  • Process supplier payments and customer receipts.
  • Perform bank and payment platform reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Xero or similar cloud accounting software.
  • Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Assist with VAT records and month-end procedures.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Maintain financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with the Director on finance and operational matters.
  • Assist with supplier payments, customer refunds, and travel-related financial reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • Previous bookkeeping experience.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Experience using Xero or similar cloud accounting software.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote working environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience within a service or travel-related business would be an advantage.
