New Role! Bookkeeper

Minimum 18 months experience and does need to be qualified

Mid-Tier Practice with global presence and clients

£35k to £40k base plus fully study support from scratch if required.

Location: West London

AAT/ACA/ACCA Part Qualified or starting from scratch with a minimum of 18 months bookkeeping experience plus excellent study support in terms of time, training, and flexible exam policies.

Please note sponsorship is not required and UK experience is not essential.

My client, a rapidly growing Mid-Tier Practice with global standing, is rapidly growing an Accounts Advisory team working with leading multinational organisations, PE backed corporates, and VCT backed startups in any industry sector in corporate or financial services.

They are looking for a bookkeeper to join the team with opportunities to grow in an established and informal team. You will work with leading Top Accounts Advisory mentors to develop every aspect of your career. You can be part qualified with any CCAB Qualification or start AAT/ACCA/ACA from scratch if you have not embarked on these.

Responsibilities

  • Own bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using cloud accounting software.
  • Ensure accurate double entry, reconciliation, and clean ledgers through to trial balance.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns, including checks, corrections, and resolving queries.
  • Maintain strong balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts (VAT, debtors, creditors, payroll where applicable).
  • Review junior bookkeeping work, providing feedback and ensuring files are ready.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing records, queries, and deadlines.
  • Liaise with HMRC where required and support registrations and compliance administration.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement improvements to client bookkeeping processes.
  • Support the accounts team with clean handovers and well-prepared supporting schedules.

There are clear paths to Director (Up to £140k plus bonus) and Partner (Up to £200k plus bonus) in all areas.

There are great working hours, no client travel outside London, and hardly any weekend work.
